Our summer recreation programs for children and teens entering kindergarten through high school have been providing families with high-quality recreation, enrichment, and health and wellness activities for over 40 years.

More than just play, summers at NSYC are filled with exciting opportunities that enhance the lives of youth by promoting healthy development and positive physical and mental well-being. Our programs integrate building life skills and forming friendships to create memorable and meaningful experiences for today's youth.


​Our morning and afternoon half-day programs are open to youth in any school district, and are facilitated by our team of camp directors, camp EMTs, and youth counselors, so parents and guardians can feel good knowing their children are safe and engaged in a variety of fun indoor and outdoor activities. 2025 Summer Buddies and Teen Titans Program Rates
​The cost of each program is $200 per week/per child,
​plus a non-refundable $50 registration fee per child.

​​Families registering two or more children are eligible to receive a 10% sibling discount.

Outings are held on Thursdays and are a separate cost. Transportation must be provided
SUMMER BUDDIES
​
Summer Buddies is our New York State-certified half-day summer recreation and enrichment program for children entering kindergarten through seventh grade. Summer Buddies is held from 9 AM-12 PM, Monday thru Friday, and is offered at the Joseph A. Edgar School in Rocky Point and the Heritage Center in Mount Sinai.

Summer Buddies engages youth of all ages with a wide of range of activities, including indoor and outdoor active play, gym and recreational activities, sprinkler play, arts and crafts, board games, playground recreation, STEM learning, CrossFit for kids, Zumba, animal visitors from Brian's Aquarium, story readings with the Comsewogue and North Shore Public Libraries, ice pop Fridays, themed days, family day, and other special events.
Summer Buddies pro-tip: Our flexible schedule lets you register for one week or any number or combination of weeks. Once registered, you can always add on weeks!
TEEN TITANS

Teen Titans is our half-day afternoon summer recreation and enrichment program for preteens and teens entering sixth grade and up. Teen Titans is held from 1 PM-4 PM, Monday thru Friday, at the NSYC Rec Room, located in the portable building on the grounds of the Joseph A. Edgar School in Rocky Point.

​Teen Titans activities are geared towards middle and high school interests, including team-building challenges, gym and recreational activities, arts and crafts, board games, STEM learning, movies, and other special events. Weekly outings to local entertainment and recreation venues like bowling, movies, mini golf, and water parks are an additional fee and allow youth to enjoy the summer in fun ways with their peers (transportation not provided).
Teen Titans pro-tip: Junior Counselors and sixth/seventh grade campers in Summer Buddies can register for Teen Titans to create a full-day experience!

Summer Recreation 2025 Important Dates

​After creating your new account, please allow at least 24 hours for it to be imported before registering.
​Beginning April 1st, log in to your account and select "re-registration" for the Summer Buddies or Teen Titans Program.
When registering two or more children, please do not click the pop-up option to add additional children to the registration in process. Please complete each child's registration and submit before completing the next registration.
Registration
Due to capacity limitations, you must commit to the weeks selected at registration and will be billed accordingly (no refunds for registration fees and/or weekly rates will be given). Create a new Procare account or log in to your existing account to select your program. When registering two or more children, please do not click the pop-up option to add additional children to the registration in process. Please complete each child's registration and submit before completing the next registration. Please note, t-shirts are not guaranteed if registered after June 22nd. A limited supply of t-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. As part of the registration process, you must also download and complete the health history form and waiver for each child you are registering, which is available below.

Please be aware that all registrations to attend the first week of camp (July 7th-July 11th) must be completed with all health history paperwork received by June 29th. Registrations for summer programs will close on July 11th.

Health History & Waiver
All children registered for summer programs are required to have a health history form, participant waiver, and record of immunizations on file. Children cannot begin the program if these forms are not received by our office. Please download and complete the form below, and return to the main office with a record of immunizations. 
Health History Form & Waiver
If your child has a medical issue and/or allergy that requires an inhaler, Epi-Pen, or other medication, you must download and complete the allergy/inhaler forms below. All allergy forms and medications must be received by our office in order for your child to begin attending.

​Completed paperwork can be mailed to P.O. Box 1286, Rocky Point, NY 11778, brought to our main office in the portables on the grounds of the Joseph A. Edgar School, or emailed to [email protected].

Billing
Summer billing will begin via email the week of June 9th. Registering your child reserves their spot in the Summer Buddies or Teen Titans program, and your account will initially reflect a zero balance. You will receive an email invoice with the charges for the number of weeks selected and any sibling discounts that may apply. Please remit payment upon receipt of invoice to secure their spot. All payments must be made in full prior to their start date. Payment can be made securely online through your account with a credit card, or you may submit checks or cash to the main office. If you have any questions regarding billing, please call the office directly at 631-744-0207. ​
