March 27 - Governor Cuomo announces schools across New York state will remain closed through at least April 15
Free Teletherapy Sessions with NSYC
During these challenging and unprecedented times, it is more important than ever to take care of your mental health. With the social distancing and stay-at-home actions we are all taking to limit the spread of COVID-19, many individuals are left feeling stressed and anxious with limited ways to cope and manage these emotions. NSYC has taken the steps to transition our traditional counseling services to remote teletherapy so that we can better serve the youth and families in the North Shore communities. In an effort to increase access to these services, these sessions will be free of charge until at least April 15, 2020.
We encourage you to download the registration form below to register for these free teletherapy sessions. Completed registration forms must be emailed to Dana Ellis, LMHC, at firstname.lastname@example.org. A member of our counseling team will reach out to you with additional instructions regarding the intake process and consent for counseling services.
If you have any questions regarding these services, please call our office at 631.744.0207 or email email@example.com.
For over 30 years, North Shore Youth Council has dedicated itself to providing the North Shore communities with comprehensive youth and family programs and services. NSYC has the continued confidence and support of our local communities, legislators, and the School Districts of Mt. Sinai, Rocky Point, and Shoreham-Wading River. We are committed to offering a variety of evidence-based enrichment, prevention, counseling services, and education. Since our founding, we have influenced thousands of individuals from kindergarten to college. The programs NSYC puts forth are designed to benefit all people and teach our youth the essential life skills necessary to become responsible, successful adults. The model for success in our programs is based upon having positive influences at every stage, as well as following-up beyond the initial programming. Many of the youth we support come back year after year and grow with us, returning as counselors, mentors, and staff to help guide the next generation.
Why choose North Shore Youth Council?
We are unique for being the only agency with a model for prevention. We are a trusted resource along the North Shore corridor. We are a home and a safe place our communities can count on. We are not a one-size-fits-all system or solution. We listen to our youth who are the driving force of our agency and respond to what they need to accomplish their goals. We encourage the celebration of individuality. We promote physical and mental health wellness. We help people make positive decisions to lead healthy lives, but even if someone falls, we'll be there to pick them right back up. We are North Shore Youth Council.
