Helping youth and families cope in today's changing world.

Four decades of helping youth and families THRIVE!

Picture
For over 40 years, North Shore Youth Council has dedicated itself to providing our North Shore communities with comprehensive, evidence-based youth and family programs and services in child care,  enrichment, prevention, education, counseling, and recreation. Since our founding, we have positively influenced thousands of individuals from kindergarten to college, and have the continued confidence and support of our local elected officials, school districts, and communities from Mount Sinai to Shoreham-Wading River and beyond.

Our model for success is based upon our unique "life cycle" of programs that engages children and teens at every age and connects families to our wider offering of services. With every new stage of their life, we present today's youth with opportunities to learn essential life skills and become responsible, successful adults. By giving youth a platform to be heard and assist in the development of programs and projects, we find new ways to enrich their lives while also encouraging and empowering them in their positive decision-making and community involvement.
The youth we support come back year after year and grow with us, returning as counselors, mentors, and staff to help guide the next generation.
