North Shore Youth Council hosts seasonal Friday night recreation for children in grades 3 to 5 at the Joseph A. Edgar School gymnasium in Rocky Point. Our Open Gym events are a great way for kids to burn off energy and exercise, have fun with their friends, meet new people, and practice their life skills! Our staff keep a careful eye on the kids and interact with them as they enjoy their freedom participating in a variety of intramural activities.
Open Gym is held on designated Friday evenings for an hour and a half, and we encourage a $5.00 suggested donation per child to be able to provide additional enrichment activities.
Please be advised that this program is contingent upon space availability in the Joseph A. Edgar School, so check back for updates as to when we will schedule the next Open Gym event.
North Shore Youth Council is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community-based organization, funded in part by the Town of Brookhaven, the County of Suffolk, the State of New York, the North Shore Consortium, and public and private donations.
