Games and Open Mic Night

North Shore Youth Council hosts Friday night recreation for teens in our main lounge with Game and Open Mic Nights. Game Nights are held once a month on a designated Friday night and encourage youth to have fun with others their own age through board games, video games, card play, and tournaments for prizes!

Our Open Mic Nights are held every Friday night from 7pm to 9:30pm, unless there is a major weather-related emergency. Open Mic is a unique recreational opportunity for teens to socialize and engage with their peers without the social stresses of drugs or alcohol. It's a chance for young adults who may be artistically or musically inclined to come share their talents in front of an attentive and supportive audience. We welcome all to attend: musicians, poets, singers, dancers, comedians--even just spectators--and more! Once a month, the Crazy Crepe Cafe in Miller Place generously hosts Open Mic for the teens in our communities and offers a free dessert to anyone who performs.

While there is no cost to attend Friday Night recreation, donations are greatly appreciated to cover the occasional costs of pizza and drinks. Please consider contributing to our Friday Night fun!
North Shore Youth Council is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community-based organization, funded in part by the Town of Brookhaven, the County of Suffolk, the State of New York, the North Shore Consortium, and public and private donations.
