At North Shore Youth Council, we believe the best learning happens when children are encouraged to explore, create, imagine, and discover through play.
Our new Discovery Enrichment Program is a hands-on, play-based enrichment experience designed specifically for children in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. Through engaging daily themes, creative activities, outdoor exploration, and meaningful social interaction, children will develop confidence, independence, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning. Whether they're building, creating, gardening, storytelling, or exploring nature, every day will be a new adventure!

Children benefit from a balance of indoor enrichment and outdoor exploration. Weather permitting, participants will enjoy fresh air, active play, nature-based fun, and opportunities to connect with the world around them.

Program Details & Tuition
$850/month | Monday–Friday | 9 AM–12 PM
Families can enjoy the convenience of a consistent weekday schedule, with engaging programming filled with opportunities for recreation, enrichment, socialization, and hands-on activities throughout the year.
The program will be held at the Robert E. Reid Recreation Center in Shoreham and will follow the Shoreham-Wading River School District calendar, operating on days when school is in session. The $850 monthly tuition provides families with a dependable, enriching program and a consistent schedule throughout each month.
