Annual Consortium

Each year, North Shore Youth Council hosts an annual consortium meeting, which brings together the local school district administrations, elected town and county officials, and other nonprofit and community organizations to network and share information for local youth and families.

At the meeting, attendees have the opportunity to speak about their respective programs and services they provide the public so that people know what resources are available and how to access them. The networking meeting generally highlights two guest speakers whose work or programs have uniquely impacted communities.

The collective information of the consortium generally focuses on mental health wellness and awareness, suicide prevention, drug and alcohol prevention and treatment, LGBT services, and special education advocacy. By bringing in a diverse coalition, NSYC helps to create new partnerships and cooperation amongst each other while bridging the gaps in services for people in need.
