What is Alateen/Al-Anon?
•Alateen is part of Al‑Anon Family Groups. Alateen is a fellowship of young Al-Anon members, usually teenagers, whose lives have been affected by someone else's drinking. Alateen groups are sponsored by Al-Anon members who help the group to stay on track. Alateens come together to:
•Share experiences, strength, and hope with each other •Discuss difficulties •Learn effective ways to cope with problems •Encourage one another •Help each other understand the principles of the Al-Anon program •Learn how to use the Twelve Steps and Alateen's Twelve Traditions. •Al-Anon is a mutual support group of peers who share their experience in applying the Al-Anon principles to problems related to the effects of a problem drinker in their lives. |

When and where is Alateen/Al-Anon?
•Alateen meets Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30, in the main office lounge of the North Shore Youth Council building.
•Al-Anon also meets Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30 and 7:30-8:30, in the recreational lounge of the North Shore Youth Council building.
